PKI Solutions Featured in Portland Business Journal
We’re excited to share that PKI Solutions was featured in a Portland Business Journal article, “Lake Oswego cybersecurity firm targets overlooked vulnerability” this week. Recently, Malia Spencer, technology reporter for the Portland Business Journal, interviewed our own Mark B. Cooper for her well-written article that gives a great overview of PKI Solutions and how the company is expanding its offerings beyond consulting and training with the release of its first product, PKI Spotlight.
In the article, Malia highlighted PKI Spotlight, the industry’s first and only the industry’s first and only solution that provides real-time monitoring and alerting of the availability, configuration, and security of all of an organization’s PKI environments – all consolidated into one easy-to-use dashboard. She also reported that while PKI technology is foundational (for almost every identity and data encryption solution used throughout the world), it is also an area that can be a “huge blindspot” for companies. Many PKI environments are created and then left alone, and any problems, like a malicious tampering, aren’t known unless the environment breaks.
Another key highlight in the article is Mark’s quote summing up the main benefit that enterprises receive by using PKI Spotlight to better manage and monitor their PKI environments. “It’s a weird paradox,” said Cooper of the importance and simultaneous vulnerability of the infrastructure. “Our product allows organizations to have a holistic view of their PKI. Is it operating? Is it secure? Is someone tampering with it? Is it being used in the right way?”
