Introducing PKI Spotlight v25.1.1: Enhancing Security, Integration, and Reporting

At PKI Solutions, our mission is to continuously innovate and empower organizations with the tools they need to manage and secure their public key infrastructure effectively. We are thrilled to announce the latest release of PKI Spotlight, version 25.1.1. This update reflects our commitment to delivering robust features and improvements based on industry needs and customer feedback.

Key Highlights in v25.1.1

Syslog/SIEM Integration API

One of the standout features in this release is the introduction of a read-only API endpoint for Syslog/SIEM integrations. This enhancement allows you to pull event and alert data by specified date ranges in either Syslog or Common Event Format (CEF), streamlining the process of importing PKI-related insights into your existing security information and event management (SIEM) systems.

For added security, these endpoints are disabled by default, ensuring that no data is accessible without explicit configuration.

Enhanced Reporting and ACL Change Tracking

We’ve introduced refinements to how PKI Spotlight captures and reports Access Control List (ACL) changes. These updates give administrators greater transparency and actionable insights, simplifying compliance and auditing workflows.

Rate Limiter for Duplicate Events

To prevent runaway events from filling up the database, we’ve added a rate limiter that restricts duplicate events to a maximum of one per hour. This ensures efficient database utilization and prevents unnecessary clutter in your Spotlight event logs.

Improved Versioning Schema

We’ve updated our versioning schema to align with industry standards and simplify tracking. PKI Spotlight will now follow a Major.Minor.Patch format (e.g., 25.1.1), replacing the previous Year.Month.Version format. This change does not affect functionality but enhances clarity for our users.

Bug Fixes and Minor Enhancements

As always, this release addresses several minor bugs and introduces subtle improvements to overall performance and usability.

Get Started with v25.1.1

We’re excited about this release’s enhancements and look forward to hearing how they benefit your PKI environment. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping future updates and ensuring PKI Spotlight meets the evolving demands of modern organizations.
