Announcing the October 2024 PKI Spotlight® Release
As we wrap up our final release for 2024, we’re thrilled to unveil the latest enhancements to PKI Spotlight in our October release. This update has features designed to deliver even greater business value, making it easier to manage your PKI environment with precision and confidence. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.
A Game-Changer: The Upgraded Certificates and CRL Inventory
Managing your Certificate and CRL inventory just got a whole lot easier. We’ve significantly expanded this feature to include all infrastructure certificates, covering CA, OCSP, NDES, TLS, and KRAs. With this upgrade, users can download and preview certificates and CRLs directly from the UI, streamlining their workflow and saving time.
But that’s not all. We’ve also introduced advanced filtering options, enabling you to perform more precise searches. Whether you’re tracking down specific certificates or monitoring expirations, our new filters will help you find exactly what you need. Plus, with enhanced subscription features for expiring/expiration notifications, you now have more granular control over alerts—ensuring you’re always in the know when it matters most.
Integrating the PKI Maturity Model: A Unified Approach to PKI Assessment
We’re taking PKI management to the next level by integrating the PKI Maturity Assessment Tool directly into PKI Spotlight. This powerful new feature provides a single source of truth for all your PKI Assessment information, grounded in the PKI Maturity Model developed by the PKI Consortium.
With this integration, you’ll have access to an industry-standardized methodology for assessing PKI maturity. The tool streamlines the assessment process and allows you to export reports for specific points in time. Scoring and evidence collection are seamlessly managed through PKI Spotlight, making tracking your organization’s PKI maturity easier.
Revamped Event Filtering: Zeroing in on What Matters Most
In response to your feedback, we’ve revamped the Spotlight event log presentation to provide a unified view that the Log provider can filter. Windows and third-party events can retain original event IDs while fully filterable within Spotlight. The result? A more organized and intuitive event management experience.
We’re introducing a dedicated log for Spotlight diagnostic messages to enhance your workflow further. By separating these from the main event viewer, we ensure that your focus remains on the messages that matter most—those related to your customer environment. This update also improves the Event Log’s visibility and usability, helping you troubleshoot more effectively and reduce remediation time. Plus, with more granular event types, you’ll have access to valuable trend data to help you quickly identify and resolve ongoing issues.
